Scientific Research
If you are planning to undertake scientific research in tropical rainforest we can offer a highly biodiverse primary forest with elevations from 500 m to almost 1500 m, including untouched rainforest areas.
Due to its special location on Rio Alto Madre de Dios (Manu) Amazonia Lodge offers a very high biodiversity especially of birds (see our bird list https://amazonialodgeperu.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/pdflista.pdf ), but also of invertebrates and plants.
Our forest includes Fig trees (Ficus insipida), Cedar (Cedrela odorata) and Kapoc trees (Ceiba Pentandra).
- Amazonia Lodge is a private reserve, with 2 creeks, a lake and 2 observation towers.
- We have 2 buildings with rooms for accommodation and a dining room with kitchen.
- Most rooms are double rooms, some with private and some with shared bathroom.
- Electricity is available as well.
