Scientific Research
If you are planning to undertake scientific research in tropical rainforest we can offer a highly biodiverse primary forest with elevations from 500 m to almost 1500 m, including untouched rainforest areas.
Due to its special location on Rio Alto Madre de Dios (Manu) Amazonia Lodge offers a very high biodiversity especially of birds (see our bird list ), but also of invertebrates and plants.
Our forest includes Fig trees (Ficus insipida), Cedar (Cedrela odorata) and Kapoc trees (Ceiba Pentandra).
- Amazonia Lodge is a private reserve, with 2 creeks, a lake and 2 observation towers.
- We have 2 buildings with rooms for accommodation and a dining room with kitchen.
- Most rooms are double rooms, some with private and some with shared bathroom.
- Electricity is available as well.
